Just for schlitz and giggles. You can vote until 10:30am-ish Sunday morning (EST). You can pick three options. This is mostly a test of the poll function on this forum. But have fun with it anyway. No matter what, we wish her a safe race.

With their waning attendance and ratings, how badly does Nascar need Danica to win ? Does Nascar think the racing public is as blindly desperate for entertainment as wrestling fans ? They are capable of making it easier for her if she's in the right spot at the end. All in all, the rest of the boys are too greedy to win Daytona to let that happen. So.............if she wins (a remote possibility), she earns it.

But nascar could indeed make conditions suitable for her to run strong at the end. A yellow flag here, a stop and go penalty there. But even Brian France himself can't keep her out of the wall if or when the racing gets serious.

A great drive today for Princess Sparkle Pony. 1st to 16th in 50 laps. I can't wait until Sunday. Based on this.....lapped by lap 85. This will be interesting to see (if you're watching). Go get'em kid. And order a Whopper to go for your boss.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the last laps, Ricky Stinkhorse tries to push her to a win. Could be any other driver in the Chebby camp, too, as they all want to be a part of *cough cough* history.

It's one thing to quaify in front when you drive for one of the fastest teams already and you weigh 80 pounds less then most of the competition. The race is an entirely different animal. They're gonna eat her for lunch.

They're gonna eat her for lunch. Probably went into "fuel saving mode" ;D I remember about 3 years ago in an Indy Car race, on one of the ovals, she qualified near the front. As soon as the green flag dropped, she started dropping back. 15-20 laps in she is near the back and one of the announcers said "Danica is obviously in fuel saving mode" ...... I started laughing. Who the hell goes into fuel saving mode when you know you have 4-5 pit stops and 95% of the race left to run? You go into fuel saving mode towards the end of the race, when you may be a lap or 2 short after a pit stop. Funny thing is, after the race I went to Talk Smack and went to the race thread. Sure enough, the polishers had chimed in with the fuel saving crap around the time the announcer said it. "So-and-so said on TV that she was saving fuel. He should know!!" ........ Of course, us sane race fans let 'em have it! ;D

I think I remember that. She won Motegi because everyone in front of her ran out of gas. Legitimate win, but she had zero chance otherwise.
