He just doesn't get it. As long as he refers to 'the car' or 'the Indy Car of the future', he'll always be fumbling in the dark. When he speaks of 'getting away from spec racing' and the 'new car', he speaks with forked tongue. Sadly, whoever takes over his job will also be clueless. www.gordonkirby.com/categories/columns/theway/2015/the_way_it_is_no498.htmlSo we're left with double points races, LED displays on the airboxes and Ferris wheels. How many more times can they rearrange the deck chairs on this sinking ship before they decide to repair the hull? Bummer...

IndyCar needs somebody like Judge Kennesaw Mountain Landis to take over IndyCar and basically say: These are the rules, there is no appeal.

I agree wholeheartedly, GM. They need a benevolent dictator, not an appeaser.

One needs to make peace with USAC. The rulebook is what and why people race cars. It simply tells you what you can't do......not what you can do. Innovation has a way of bringing people thru the door. Spec has a way of keeping them out!
